Desert TheatreWorks is seeking NON-UNION performers for our upcoming production of HEAD OVER HEELS — a high-energy mash-up of Elizabethan drama and 80s pop-punk featuring the iconic music of The Go-Go’s!

🎤 What to prepare:
16–32 bars of a pop/rock song in the style of The Go-Go’s
1-minute comedic monologue (classical or contemporary)
Optional dance clip for ensemble consideration
✨ Roles available for
BASILIUS (Male-identifying, 30s–50s, Baritenor):
The proud, somewhat vain King of Arcadia. Loves his image and power but struggles to adapt to change. Strong comedic chops and vocals required.
PAMELA (Female-identifying, 20s, Mezzo with strong belt):
The eldest princess. Stunning, self-absorbed, and utterly confident — until love throws her off course. Dry wit and sharp comedic timing essential.
MOPSA (Female-identifying, 20s–30s, Mezzo/Soprano):
Pamela’s loyal handmaiden and confidante. Clever, grounded, and secretly in love with Pamela. Strong singer with heart and comedic timing.
PYTHIO (Any gender identity, Nonbinary preferred, powerful vocal range):
The Oracle — fierce, commanding, gender-fluid. Think glam rock meets divine drag performer. Strong stage presence, individuality, and comfort with bold physicality required.
