Legally Blonde Jr.
Music and Lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, Book by Heather Hach.

Sure to have you seeing pink, the bright and bubbly Legally Blonde Jr. brings all the fun and excitement of the Tony Award-nominated musical Legally Blonde (and the smash-hit film starring Reese Witherspoon) to the stage -- but with the younger set in mind. Author-approved and custom-tailored for younger actors and family audiences, this song-and-dance sensation follows the adventures of Elle Woods, a sweet and seemingly not-so-bright student, as she tries to win back her boyfriend in this upbeat story of self-discovery filled with family-friendly comedy, romance and catchy tunes.

Music by Alan Menken

Lyrics by Howard Ashman/TimRice/Chad Beguelin

Book by Chad Beguelin

Join Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, a wild and crazy genie, the evil Jafar and all your favorites from the beloved tale as DTW’s Kidworks Musical Theatre Camp presents: Disney's Aladdin Jr. Based on Disney’s award-winning 1992 animated film, the play is set in Agrabah, the City of Enchantment. A street urchin, Aladdin, has his dearest wishes fulfilled by a genie from a magical lamp as he tries to win the heart of Princess Jasmine and her father. The production features a new script adapted from Broadway’s Aladdin, featuring all sorts of enchantment, mayhem and flying carpet rides.

DTW’s Summer Theatre Program includes: all classes in the session, participant’s show t-shirt, a rehearsal script, and a closing party.  Our goal is to provide a superior experience to all young adults interested in theatre and the performing arts. All participants will perform in a full-stage production of one of the following musicals, depending on age: Aladdin Jr. or Legally Blonde Jr. the Musical. DTW’s Education Team consists of theatre education professionals who are trained in producing professional theatre and teaching theatrical arts. Program participants will spend a significant amount of time learning acting, singing and dancing for the musical and daily classes and special workshops in subjects like improv, stage combat, Shakespeare and more.
